PENNY WARDEN — TOMORROW'S HISTORY TODAY

Penny, whose unique oil paintings are increasingly sought after, paints with a maximum of spontaneity and energetic expression. This involves risks and accidents, but Penny works in partnership with the oil paint to forge a new vibrant image out of a familiar well-known form.

In March 2005 Penny launched "a major project of national significance" in Blackburn Cathedral, Lancashire, England. This consists of the permanent display of fifteen 6ft paintings and it is "probably the most adventurous of its kind in any English cathedral."

With sponsors from private donors and Blackburn Rovers FC this extraordinary exhibition will be seen by generations to come.

Penny has been interviewed by BBC radio and filmed for a worldwide satellite television broadcast. She has featured in a number of national newspapers, magazines and publications.
